DADDY DAUGHTER DATE

Layla is finally big enough to fit into her "Chariot" bike trailer while sitting up and so Kevin took advantage of the good weather today and took her sight seeing. She loved being able to sit up and see out the windows now. They went for a nice long ride, she was bundled and cozy in her little apartment on wheels :) Kevin looks foreword to a lifetime of daddy daughter dates. We can't wait for the the weather to get warmer here and go for family hikes, walks, runs, and bike rides.

Oh and I had to include a picture of that "oh so kissable" neck! It's the yummiest little treat! Layla loves to giggle as we munch on her ticklish little neck :)

YEAR OF THE TIGER

We celebrated Chinese New Year last night! We had a blast among the crazy decorations, yummy food, games and fire crackers! We also exchanged Valentine's and spread a lot of L.O.V.E!

We ate pot stickers and ham-fried rice, Chinese chicken salad, edemame, and fortune cookies.

The decorations were crazy and fun and Layla loved them

After dinner we read our Chinese Fortune Sticks.

We played "Chinese Bingo" *not really anything to do with the holiday... but the kids love it and we give away fun little Chinese toys to the winners.

All the Grand-daughters wore their traditional dresses
Layla wore the one Katie gave her as well as one that we got her before she was born


We handed out Valentine Gifts after reading about everyone's Chinese Horoscope.
Layla's an Ox, Kevin's a Sheep, and Shannon's a Rooster

And last but not least... we set off some fire-crackers to ward off the evil spirits!
WE HAD SO MUCH FUN AND CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE THE TRADITION BIGGER AND BETTER EVER YEAR!

Busy Little Lady Bug Part 4 of 4

LADY BUG IS A SUPER SITTER THESE DAYS AND GETTING BETTER AT IT EACH DAY! She loves to sit and play and reach for things now. Her balance improves each day and she absolutely loves to sit up like a big girl! She is growing up so fast!

She looks kind of silly in this picture but we love when she's in just a onsie and we wanted to show off her big girl barrette in her hair too!
