Motor Boat- Stuck in Reverse

Layla is so close to crawling! She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth and she scoots around the house on her tummy... only, she's stuck in reverse! She accidently backs into the couch or under the kitchen table and then cries for rescue :) She's an adventurous little one and so so so much fun.
Here's her little motor boat cruising around this morning while dad was making omelets for us.



HAPPY EASTER WEEK!

YESTERDAY AND TODAY

For the past 10 days Laylas cousin from Switzerland has been in town. They have been enjoying lots of tub time together, shopping the outlets for matching clothes and enjoying every minute they get to spend together.

We all know Layla is beautiful, but lately we have been made very aware of just how striking she is. People are always telling us we should enter her into a contest to be a "Gerber Baby"  and we just smile and say our thank you's. Last week Kevin was at a photo shoot for work and at least 5 people on the set told him how beautiful she is (from what they've seen in pictures or when I take her into work to see dad) and insisted that she be entered into a contest. On Saturday while Layla and I were at the local super-market, 2 women stopped their shopping and came across the store to tell me how beautiful she is.
We are constantly reminded of what a beautiful spirit inside and out that we have been blessed with. She is so happy and her joy radiates from her big beautiful eyes... that is what makes her beautiful. She knows how much she is loved by everyone all over the world. What an amazing spirit she is...

On a lighter note... here we are this morning before church. Layla loves to monkey around on the floor and get her wiggles out before getting dressed.

DID YOU KNOW???

We had a wonderful trip to St. George and Daddy did great in his bike race. We'll post some pics of the trip later this week! Layla is super busy playing with her cousin who is in town from Switzerland! Hope you all have a good week! Love Layla :)

SPRINGING INTO SPRING

Last week was free Zoo day. Despite the snow, Layla and friends packed their car seats and bundled up for a neighborhood trip down town. Lots of mom's and babies!

Spring time is bringing so many new outfit options... Layla humors mom by playing "dress up" and posing in her big girl chair.

And this is yesterday morning.... notice the wild hair and the "I just woke up and don't feel like laughing" face. She loves to play with her calculator and a TV remote control! She's a little smarty pants!


We are SOOO amped to head south to St George this weekend for Kevin's first bike race of the season. We're hoping for nice warm weather and a fun family vacation with Layla for her 8 month birthday! We'll post pics :)
