HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas. Layla got a big girl chair for her room and she LOVES to sit and read books in it. She's also been whipping up some delicious meals in her new retro kitchen. Such fun.

Tonight we celebrate Secret Supper. Every person in the family (almost 20 of us!) secretly tell Layla's Grammy something we want to eat. It can be anything in the world. She prepares every thing and we all guess who picked which dish. We play games between meals and watch movies until we just can't eat any more! And then we set off fireworks and poppers!
Layla chose orange jello with sliced peaches in it. She devours it!!!
We hope you all have a Happy Year 2011 and that it will bring peace and good fortune in your life. We've enjoyed sharing 2010 with you all.

We love you all and miss you. Thinking of you this season and wanted you to know Layla is loving Christmas. The lights, tree's, music, snow.... all of it.

She is talking SO much. We wanted to post a video of all her words - so hang tight and we'll get that up soon.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay of a Thanksgiving post. We all had a really great day with lots of delicious food and family from all around. Layla has been espceially excited out the recent snowfall and loves to get out and about, so it made for a nearly perfect day.

Later that night though, we had a slumber party at Primary Childrens hospital due to a small infection in Lady's leg. The doc took good care of her though and sent us home with a happy girl this afternoon. All is well now that we're back home with our favorite toys and soft blankets. We'll just get some much needed rest in so we can hang some holiday decorations tomorrow. She's so excited about her own little tree that we put up in the corner of her room.

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and want to express out love and THANKS to our family out there reading along.
