HOLY SMOKES!

Where has the time gone! We greatly apologize for not sending our letter and CD with pictures for Layla's birthday! We went out of town after her birthday and last weekend as well, and before we realized it... it's the end of July!
Hope you'll bear with us while we get all our ducks in a row as we try to sell our house and find a bigger place as well as prepare for Layla's baby brother to arrive in a few weeks! We'll get your much deserved info out to you ASAP!

BIRTHDAY BASH 2011

It was a wonderful CELEBRATION

LAYLA TURNING 2!!!

A CARNIVAL of sorts!

And a DARLING birthday girl with a BALLOON HAT made just for her

Lady Bug slept in this morning. She's so big. I tried to get a picture of her sleeping in her "stink bug" position as Kevin calls it... but she's growing out of it quickly.

So many people around the entire world love you and celebrate you today!

Birthday Plans include;
8am- Breakfast of Layla's choice with mom and dad
10am- Pick up the birthday cake and balloons
11 am- Lunch at the park
12:30- Nap
3:30 pm- Up and dressed for party
5:30 pm- Help mom set up for the carnival/swim party at Nanna's house
6:30 pm- Celebrate with popcorn, lemonade, cake, friends, family, and fun!

We'll be thinking of you all today. It's impossible to celebrate this day without being SO GRATEFUL for the blessing that Layla is in our life!.

4th of JULY 2011

With curlers in her hair, Layla gobbled up her breakfast of waffles, eggs, and apple juice. She got dressed and she rode in the bike trailer down to the city parade. She wore her matching outfit, same as all her girl cousins and they couldn't have looked more darling.

4th of July wouldn't be complete without swimming
and a BBQ

Layla found her best friend at the Carnival

And she was smitten when he put his arm around her!

We celebrated with the entire family. Parade, BBQ, Swimming, Carnival, and Fireworks. Layla had a blast and snuggled down with Kevin and I on a blanket to watch the firework show. We sat in awe of her beauty and soaked in every minute of her, as we know with a new addition to the family we'll miss the simplicity of it being just the three of us. But for now, it's more parties - carnivals and celebrating!

We know you're anxiously awaiting the 4th of July post, as are we! But I left the camera and my laptop in Grammy's car today. We'll have a post up for you by birthday time!
Wowza, two whole years. What a trip.

ALMOST 2!!!

It was wonderful to hear from you all. Thank you so very much for your support and joy in our journey to bring Layla a brother. We hope you're all doing well and think of you so very often.

Where has time gone?! Lady bug is going to be 2 in a few weeks and of course we have quite the party planned! Just a few of the plans include a swim party, lemonade stand, popcorn stand, face painting, and a clown tying balloons at Layla's Birthday Carnival!
We'll share photo's and more of the 4th of July and then of her party!

Also, just to fill you in... Layla will be getting a baby brother come August! Shannon and I have been picked by another Birthmother, through LDSFS. We're so excited as is Layla. She walks around the house all day saying "baby brother".
